Bookmarks Housecleaning: FLAC

Rip Those CDs. Your old CD media is expensive and vulnerable. Have backups. I like FLAC so far, because it’s lossless (makes a PERFECT archive) and it can rip the full disc using Exact Audio Copy. Read on for some good tools.

I still haven’t gotten the hiss out of my EBN-OZN track. But there’s some software I’d love to try out to do the job. SoundSoap promises to get the hiss out.

The Personal Information Manager is the ultimate boon to people doing work with their computers. Address book. Calendar. To Do List. These things are essential for really doing business with a computer. And once you go beyond doing business alone, you need to be able to share. That is harder than you’d think. Single user calendars are dime a dozen. Shared calendars…..oof.
