The Personal Information Manager is the ultimate boon to people doing work with their computers. Address book. Calendar. To Do List. These things are essential for really doing business with a computer. And once you go beyond doing business alone, you need to be able to share. That is harder than you’d think. Single user calendars are dime a dozen. Shared calendars…..oof.
Remote Systems Support
Have you ever had WebEx used to help give you phone support? Amazing how much added capability there is if you can just see the darn screen. I looked around to find some links and solutions.
So, I’m a computer consultant. But I hate the word. It has such a ’90s-speak “we provide advanced solutions to vertical markets while providing excellent service” tone to it. So, what’s a better word? Adviser? Counsel? Support Agent? Brilliant ideas can be sent to me.
Is free too expensive?
The local radio station has been playing and playing an add for a ‘Free Book‘ on getting rich…free but for 5 bucks shipping and handling. Is that too much?
The Growing Wikimedia Empire
There’s so much cool stuff in the works at Wikimedia. Infoanarchy has an article that I’d like to check back with in a month or so to see what has come of their new projects. Onward Wikipedia.
Yah. I take it down. I put it back up. It’s fun to play with. But online we are and here it is.
