We also think it is important to engage security experts on the Mozilla project (any security researcher can download all the code), encourage security research (we offer $500 bug bounties to encourage research), and to act quickly on the feedback we get from these experts. A study by scanit.be (an independent security research firm) shows the dramatic difference in response time and the ability to stay on top of security problems between Microsoft and the Mozilla Project.”

I’m always interested in new and exciting ways to make money from the internet without having to have direct employment.

In the Google adsense/pagerank category comes a k5 article on making money from open source web software development.

In the podcasting category, Adam Curry’s company to create money from podcasting is Boku Communications. And news on the business can be found at Podcast Lab.

Mac Software to look into.

I still haven’t gotten the hiss out of my EBN-OZN track. But there’s some software I’d love to try out to do the job. SoundSoap promises to get the hiss out.

Also, in my ever-restarting quest to find good enterprise applications for my little enterprise, Time Navigator has an interesting name for some backup software. Worth a second look. Later.
